My Journey: From Curiosity to Craftsmanship

I'm a software developer with 5+ years' experience (since 2021) shipping cross-platform mobile apps and full-stack web and backend systems.

I work mostly in Flutter and Dart on mobile, and Go, Next.js, and Firebase on the backend and web — with a focus on fintech: mobile wallets, payments, lending, and POS.

I currently build Bevura at Yafika Mobile Money — a Bank of Zambia–licensed mobile wallet; previously, at ProBase Limited, I built payment and e-ticketing POS systems and shipped multiple Play Store apps. On the side, I architected a production Go betting-analytics platform.

I care about Clean Architecture, solid state management, and shipping with tests and CI/CD — patterns I document in a personal engineering playbook.

Yafika Mobile Money Limited · Lusaka, Zambia

Mar 2026 – Present

Build and maintain Bevura, a Bank of Zambia–licensed cross-platform mobile wallet (iOS & Android), using Flutter and the BLoC pattern. Built and deployed the Bevura marketing website (bevura.app) — a fast, SEO-optimized static site built with Jaspr (Dart) and Tailwind CSS on Firebase Hosting. Deliver core wallet features: village banking and group savings, loans, bill payments, airtime/data, and wallet-to-wallet and bank transfers. Integrate third-party services — ZESCO, DStv, GOtv, MTN, Airtel, Zamtel, and banking — for payments and top-ups. Implement KYC onboarding with on-device ML (face detection and document scanning) and uphold security and compliance standards.

Designed and built cross-platform mobile apps with Flutter — responsive Material Design UI for Android & iOS — using the BLoC pattern. Integrated Firebase (authentication, database, cloud functions) and REST APIs across multiple products. Delivered regulated fintech and payment systems: the first version of Bevura, NRFA e-toll and Zambia Railways e-ticketing POS apps, and MSME finance tooling. Shipped and maintained Google Play apps including eWorkers (WCFCB), Penda, Nyamula, LCCShimzlaw, and Unka Go. Collaborated with UI/UX designers and backend engineers, upheld security standards, and mentored junior developers.
